My review on Gifty Singh's album: Lost In Translation.
In one sentence. Gifty's Singh's Lost in Translation, is something that will be remembered.
Gifty Singh's Lost in Translation is a compilation of songs that consist of everyday issues and topics. Love, romance, family, or just life in general. Gifty Singh's music, from what I've heard, has drastically evolved from what it used to be. When I first met and started listening to Gifty, I was listening to Lovestreet. From Lovestreet to Lost in Translation, there has been a big step. You can tell Gifty has become more comfortable and experimental with his instruments and vocals . In his songs, he speaks to the listener, as well as sings a meaningful message. In each song, he speaks and sings about it accordingly. A fine example of this would be 'Until we make it.' The guitar and vocals flow so elegantly. You can tell he is comfortable with expressing fact that this is a song to make love to, and also he's isn't afraid to voice it either. My favourite song would have to be the bonus track, Peace Of Mind. It is a song that I, and I'm sure many others, can relate to.
Whether he beat boxed, played the guitar, or just had a beat made, each song goes with his voice and it just sounds like something you would hear on a radio. Gifty Singh's Lost In Translation is definitely the kind of music I do and will enjoy, share and listen to for years to come. I can say that Lost In Translation is my album of the month, and that I am looking forward to hearing much more from this artist and friend.
